We are happy to introduce a new brand for us. Pals is a Swedish brand based in Stockholm. They have a small collection inspired by the days of old - the American west and cultures of the past and present.

The legend says that the snap button was first used on shirts worn by bull stock riders. A regular button and buttonhole could become a deadly trap if the rider fell off and got stuck with the shirt in the horns of the raging bull. The idea of the snap button is that is would unfasten quickly, allowing for easy escape from both shirt and bull!

Pals Westerner shirt is made out of Tencel Lyocell fabric. The shirt is garment dyed. It has two chest pockets with flaps, rounded western yokes and of course, Western buttons. The fabric is considered very sustainable and it also has a silky feel that drapes nicely. Since being garment dyed, the shirt has a slightly faded color, reminiscent of days spent under the southwestern sun.

To best care for the shirt, we recommend washing it inside out at 30°C on a normal wash cycle, then hanging it to dry. Use a steamer or a low-temperature iron.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit, length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down and the sleeve length is measured on the underarm from the armpit to the end of the cuff.
